    The newest addition to the Ian Schrager Hotel Group is a deluxe 5 star experience featuring 50 million dollars in redefined elegance. The Clift was built in 1915 and has been transformed into a true work of art from the specially commissioned digital paintings by various International artists, to the lobby living room with commissioned photographs by Jean Baptiste Mondino, to the sculpture surround by Gerard Garouste. Conceived by French designer Philippe Starck, the Clift Hotel is 17 miles from San Francisco International Airport. An inspired fusion of old world hotel elegance with distinctly contemporary energy and glamour, the newly redesigned Clift Hotel in San Francisco's Theater District takes modern luxury to another level.
    From the surrealistic magic of its soaring lobby to the digital art exhibition in its celebrated and legendary Redwood Room, the diversity perfectly captures the city's spirit. A collection of eclectic furniture from different time periods and styles by American and European artists are scattered throughout the hotel. The original furniture designed by Philippe Starck is tastefully appointed to each area of this property.
